The sound is similar to an unfocused Arcade Fire mixed with a theatrical Why? (band) splattered with chugging metal, scream chants, & symphonic passages. In all, I found accepting the lyrics as just nonsense stylization and expecting the patchwork style switches made the LP much more enjoyable.
