♯new ♯2019checklist ♯electronic ♯techno ♯synthpop ♯alternative 'Anima' was apparently inspired by watching ♯flyinglotus improvise live with loops. Considering how spare some tracks are, and the themes of anxiety, dystonia, bad dreams, and writer's block-- I suppose the album is best appreciated from certain moods. Strange that the first half is a bit ♯experimental like roughly sketched collage in contrast, the last few tracks have the refined finish matching that of 'The Eraser.' Half of the album is odd music for clubs, while the second half much more ♯cinematic and nuanced. Like the album I'm somewhat split after the first listen.
