In my quest to play every game ever released on the SNES, I completed Secret of Mana today and, honestly, it's one of the worst video games I've ever played. That being said, it has one of my favourite video game soundtracks of all time, to the point that I so desperately wanted to like the game just because of how much I enjoy its music. Even though playing the game was a repetitive, boring and occasionally frustrating experience, the soundtrack prevented it from being completely joyless for me, and this piece of music in particular hit me like a brick every time it came on.
