Excellent prologue for the entire album, especially the "Amethyst and flowers on the table, is it real or a fable? / Well I suppose a friend is a friend / And we all know how this will end " Stevens cautions the listener on how heavy it'll get and how much artistic liberty he'll take. It also emphasizes that 'Carrie & Lowell' is best listened to in one sitting, like film. I can't imagine any track to show up on the radio like a "single" although that's not to say the line-up is really strong. ♯indierock ♯folk ♯bestof2015
