(I actually had no idea she was the actress, model, singer-songwriter until after I finished the album). Similar to Maria Taylor or a more tranquil Phoebe Bridgers, Maya Hawke adds a serene detachment that reinforces the inner monologue, observational lyrics. While there's a few spare ♯acoustic sections, a majority of the LP balances light orchestral soundtrack swells with hazy ♯synthrock .
