HBO agreed to make a pilot of Entourage based on the script. After Doug Ellin finished it he asked me to come watch it at his house. While I was watching, he kept asking me why I wasnt laughing at the jokes. I told him "the music is so bad I can't even pay attention to the dialogue. These are supposed to be cool kids from NY. They wouldnt listen to this (one day I'll tell you what they had)." He said, "If you can do better, do it." The next day he picked me up to go play basketball and I had a copy of The Black Album. I played him Lucifer and he was like, "whats that? thats it. That should be at the end of the show." Thats how it happen. Once the show got picked up they kept asking me for songs. I told them you dont have to pay me just give me a music consultant credit and ill send you all my favorite songs right now. By episode 3 I got that credit and here we are almost 11 years later. Never thought I would get paid to listen to music."
