Besides the meaningless-just-a-tone-without-a-message clunkers in the middle of the album (Bonnie & Clyde, Hollow, Fingertips) it's a solid, splashy ♯poprock album. Sure, it's a bit less anthemic, but the LP is overall sharper & has a more refined version of their sound. (The Sound's sound? That's a Pitchfork line I'm sure)
