Yo, big shoutout to Jpegmafia for making this groundbreaking record. It came out in january but has been in constant rotation throughout the whole year. There’s pretty much nothing quite like this album around. It is abbrasive, distorted, aggressive and experimental, which is nothing new, but also lyrically potent and absolutely hilarious. Peggy’s songwriting is on point, referencing hundrends of pop culture phenomenons and people in the most unexpected ways, that makes your head spin. He’s probably the only one who could make a track called “I cannot fucking wait til Morrisey dies” and have it make sense. That, paired with meticulous and ever-changing production, utilising hundreds of pretty much untraceable samples, makes an essential listen of the year. That ODB sample on Real Nega is gonna become legendary. Love this album, top 5 for me this year. I’m glad that stupid man Peggy’s making hits. ♯2018checklist ♯aoty ♯list
